Printed brackets

This week I have been working on mounting the STATUS touchscreen in a nice solid way to the enclosure, without fasteners. With the help of some rapid prototyping with Matt from  these are now some nicely fitting 3D printed parts that snap into the internal rails of the enclosure.  It took a couple of goes (4) to get the fit perfect and the printing time down to a reasonable level.

To those in the 3D printing world this might be old news, but it is still a weird feeling to draw something in the imaginary computer world only for it to turn up the next day as a solid object.
